John, we've got some exciting news:
This Friday, August 13, artists and activists are coming together in Philadelphia to call on Congress to pass bold, progressive investments in jobs, climate, care, housing, and citizenship — and demand members of Congress stay in session until the package is passed.
This is all happening in the form of Can't Wait Live! — a FREE concert for jobs, climate and care, featuring performances by Mavis Staples, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Wyclef Jean, Saweetie, Snow Tha Product, Beach Bunny, and DJ Diamond Kuts.
Throughout the concert, artists, activists and other speakers will uplift the same core message that Women's March has been saying for months ever since this crisis began: Americans can't wait for our communities to have a rightful path to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Women and allies everywhere are facing the overlapping crises of the pandemic: The economic crisis, climate chaos, and chronic racial injustice. But Congress' next big infrastructure bill could invest billions into neighborhoods across the country, and bring the transformative recovery our communities need to thrive.
Women's Marchers nationwide are coming together to say that we can't wait any longer — we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rebuild our economy in a way that lifts up all people, and we need to take it.
