John — In just days we’ve witnessed a dramatic backslide towards cruelty as the primary policy for immigrant families and children. Now more than ever, we must step up our fight for their safety.

This week two *more* whistleblowers have filed complaints detailing gross mismanagement and huge physical and mental health care failures in a detention camp called Fort Bliss, where hundreds of children are currently being held.

To make matters worse, *last week* the Biden Administration announced the expansion of an unfair, fast rejection process called ‘expedited removal,’ and then *this week* announced it would also continue a Trump-era practice of using the COVID public health crisis as a scapegoat to automatically refuse and remove children and families.

It’s time to ensure we don’t repeat the past. It’s time to live up to our values and treat people with care, compassion, and dignity — and it’s clear that achieving this is going to require doubling-down now more than ever, which is why I need to ask:

John, can you make an urgent gift today to help us deliver on the promise of Families Belong Together?

If you have saved your payment information with FastAction, your contribution will go through immediately on clicking a link.

The time for immigrant justice is now. FBT is working with organizations at the border to ensure a safe and dignified process, but we can’t do it alone. We must condemn the cruel policies of the past administration, stay resolved to never repeat them, and welcome families with dignity, compassion and respect.

Donate today to support our critical work and send a lifeline to immigrant families and children at a time when they need it the most. Your gift will be put to work immediately to stop the horrific policies and state-sanctioned abuse that target our immigrant communities, including sexual abuse cases at detention facilities, the continuation of Trump’s cruel expedited deportations, and the refusal to provide dignified care to families and children during a global pandemic.

It’s time to treat people with care, compassion, and dignity. It’s time to be the light for families who’ve endured the darkest days of Trump’s cruel policies. It’s time to ensure we don’t repeat the past. Families have waited long enough. “Soon” is no longer an acceptable answer — take action today and help deliver on the promise that families belong together.
