As my grassroots supporters, I want to keep you updated on my legislative work. While I have a number of legislative concerns and initiatives, over the month, I’ve been focused on job creation, infrastructure reform, and accessible and affordable health care.

Here is how I have been making these priorities a reality for GA-07 throughout this summer and going into the fall:

The INVEST in America Act - As a Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure I worked to pass the INVEST in America Act, which included my plans to invest in clean energy and reduce congestion by expanding greenways and providing alternative transit options. I introduced the Solar Use Network (SUN) Act to use dead space along highways to support renewable energy projects, like the installation of solar panels. I also introduced the Regional Greenways Act and the Build Up the Suburbs Act to provide funding for increased express lane transit and the construction and expansion of greenways. These plans will create green jobs, make our suburbs more sustainable, and spur economic development.

Bipartisan Infrastructure - We are on our way to passing a historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill that will invest in our communities. I am proud to be a part of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus in the House who formulated the original infrastructure plan that was later adopted by the Senate. This innovative legislation would increase funding for basic transportation infrastructure by 80 percent, including an over 60 percent increase in funding for transit, as well as new funding for clean energy, electric vehicles, broadband, and water and wastewater improvements.

Abandoned Malls - My next steps on infrastructure: reviving abandoned malls. With a little help, we can create incentives for investors to redevelop abandoned malls into places that meet community needs. These are practical solutions to the ongoing and interconnected crises facing our communities.

These major investments will revitalize our infrastructure to work for a modern economy.

The Medicaid Saves Lives Act - There are 12 states — including Georgia — that still have not expanded Medicaid, leaving more than two million Americans uninsured. I led the introduction of the Medicaid Saves Lives Act in the House to help close this gap and help Americans access affordable, quality health care.

Real progress is possible, and it is an honor to work for families across our district every single day in Congress.

I cannot continue this work without your support and generosity. My campaign is not backed by big corporations but depends on grassroots donors like you. So, if you can please donate $25 or whatever you can today >>> [link removed]
