New harrowing details about the Capitol insurrection have emerged during the January 6 select committee hearings, and Republicans are finding new creative ways to escape blame.
Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson is leading that effort, unapologetically. He brazenly claims that the FBI, not domestic terrorist groups, is really responsible for the insurrection. “So you think the FBI … didn't know squat about what was happening on January 6th or what was happening with these groups? I'd say there is way more to the story.”
Capitol police officers have given heartbreaking testimony to what they saw that day: members of Congress in gas masks, rioters attacking police with pepper spray, confederate flags and neo-Nazi symbols, and thousands of Trump supporters crashing through the Capitol.
We have some ideas who might be responsible for the January 6 insurrection -- no matter what lie Johnson creates. And, today, we need your help to get this insurrectionist out of the Senate.
