Texas House Democrats still haven’t returned to Texas, even though our first special session ends today. And they have no plan to return. Imagine that, Democrats without a plan. Whether in Washington, D.C., or vacationing in Portugal, they have yet to do anything other than waste Texas taxpayers’ money.




Unlike the Texas House Democrats, the Texas Senate shows up for work and puts the people of Texas first. We passed every bill on Gov. Abbott’s special session call:



* Senate Bill 1: Election Integrity
* Senate Bill 2: Fair Sports for Women and Girls
* Senate Bill 3: Banning Critical Race Theory in our Schools
* Senate Bill 4: Banning the Sale of Abortion-Inducing Drugs
* Senate Bill 5: Stopping Social Media Censorship
* Senate Bill 6: Bail Reform
* Senate Bill 7: 13th Check for Retired Teachers
* Senate Bills 8 and 12: Property Tax Reform
* Senate Bill 72: Increasing Family Violence Prevention




The Democrats’ refusal to do their job prevents these important bills from becoming law. Retired teachers will be unable to get a 13th check. Dangerous criminals will continue to be released on bail. And Texans will not receive the benefits of much needed property tax reform, to name a few.




Another special session begins Saturday, August 7th at noon. And the Texas Senate will continue to pass these bills over and over again until the House finally has a quorum.




I want Texans to know the Texas Senate stands ready to begin our important work, immediately. We will have a quorum, and we will begin committee hearings this weekend. Bills will be heard on the Senate floor beginning next week. I look forward to a productive special session for the people of Texas.




It’s probably because we keep turning conservative policy into conservative legislation that the Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box. The Democrats will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. I hope I can count on your financial support of $5-10-25 or more today. [[link removed]]
