Weeks-Long National Bus Tour Urges Paid Family and Medical Leave for All

BY JULIET SCHULMAN-HALL | Throughout August, social justice and women’s rights organizations—organized by Paid Leave For All, a group pushing for sustainable paid leave policy—are coming together for a national bus tour spanning 14 states across the U.S. to raise awareness about the need for paid family and medical leave for all.

Overdue Justice for Sexual Abuse Survivors: States Repeal Statutes of Limitations Throughout the Country

BY DAVID CLOHESSY | In recent years, two dozen state legislatures have reformed or repealed ‘predator-friendly’ statutes, opening one- or two-year windows of time during which any victim can sue any person who molested them in childhood and any institution that ignored or hid the abuse—regardless of when the abuse took place.

“Never before have so many suffering survivors had an opportunity to protect others by naming child molesters and uncovering cover ups of these horrors in court,” said survivor and advocate Joelle Casteix of Orange County, Calif.
