John,
Today is the 56th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, a landmark victory in the fight against racial discrimination, which secured voting access for all Americans .
At this particular moment, however, the GOP is doing all they can to make voting more difficult than it was prior to this historic bill. Republican state lawmakers around the country have successfully enacted over two dozen restrictive voting laws this year alone.
That's why legislators from across the country made their way to D.C. to join Texas House Democrats -- to call on the Senate to protect voting rights as the House has already done.
It's imperative that we defend and protect the rights of all citizens, John, and ensure that no Americans face barriers or restrictions at the ballot box. Will you join us in the fight for free and fair elections by adding your name as we call on the Senate to pass voting rights legislation?

Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. That's why we should be making it easier for folks to vote, not harder.
That means expanding voting hours so folks can vote when they're able to, simplifying mail-in voting for those who rely on it, and ending partisan gerrymandering to prevent politicians from picking their voters.
John, join us in supporting these efforts to make our elections fair, transparent, and accessible to all Americans by adding your name to our petition today.
