[1]Cori Bush

Good news and bad news,
John.

This week, Cori Bush has been in the national spotlight for her organizing
leadership to extend the eviction moratorium. For five days she protested
outside the Capitol until Joe Biden finally granted an eviction
moratorium. Everyone has been talking about Cori’s courage and commitment
in advocating for our most vulnerable communities.

Well…everyone except Fox News and their right-wing friends. It doesn’t
matter one bit to them that Cori’s organizing work saved lives and
livelihoods during an eviction crisis. They always find a way to attack
her work:

We refuse to let Fox News and the GOP smear Cori’s work and belittle the
seriousness of our country’s unhoused crisis. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
in $5 or anything you can to send a message to the GOP that
you’re in this fight with Cori and to help grow our organizing movement?

This work is personal for Cori. She’s been evicted three times in her life
and understands firsthand what it’s like worrying about your family,
living paycheck to paycheck, and feeling alone in your struggle.

So after Congress went on recess after failing to pass an extension of the
eviction moratorium — Cori grabbed her chair and an orange sleeping bag.
She knew how important it was to rise up and stand for families like hers,
and in the end her organizing skills put the pressure on the Biden
Administration to take action.

But it’s clear from the round of attacks we’re experiencing now and all of
the attacks the GOP has made on Cori since her election — a lot of people
feel threatened by Cori’s bold leadership.

Let’s show them we’re not backing down,
John. [ [link removed] ]Donate
$5 right now to show you’re proud to be part of this
organizing movement and help Cori pass more policies that lift up working
families in our country.

Together,

Team Cori
