Happy Friday, and welcome back to E-PAC’s exclusive weekly newsletter.
After leading the charge to help make 2020 the year of the Republican woman, E-PAC is closely tracking the record number of GOP women running for Congress in 2022. Read our update below on the incredible candidates working to take back the House!
CNN: GOP hopes women lead the party back to House majority
“Now, after Republicans experienced their own "Year of the Woman" in 2020, a record-breaking number of female candidates have been inspired — and in some cases, directly recruited — to run for office. So far, 155 Republican women have filed to run, compared to 60 at this point in 2019 — a new record for the party.”
“Not to mention, Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York — who has been leading the charge inside the Republican party to elect more women — was elected to the No. 3 spot in GOP leadership in May, ensuring the issue gets even more attention.”
UNITED: GOP Women Work Together To Take Back The House
This past week, the Republican National Committee launched a must-see video highlighting Republican women lawmakers at an event co-hosted by Chair Stefanik and Senator Marsha Blackburn. GOP women had a lot to celebrate:
Last year, 11 of the 15 House seats flipped were by GOP women. This year, a record 150+ women are already running to Fire Pelosi.
Republican women are ready to fight and win in 2022.
Democrats in Disarray
Poll after poll point to one fact: Democrats are in trouble!
President Biden’s approval numbers are his worst yet. A Morning Consult poll shows that Biden has a growing problem with Independent voters. Whether it’s the Biden Border Crisis, Job Crisis, or record inflation, voters are rejecting Biden and Pelosi’s radical agenda. Democrats even admit that their failed policies will lead to them losing their majority!
POLITICO: House Dem campaign chief warns the majority at risk without message reboot
“During a closed-door lunch last week with some of his most vulnerable incumbents, House Democrats’ campaign chief delivered a blunt warning: If the midterms were held now, they would lose the majority.”

Vulnerable House Democrats are unable to answer why their policies have contributed to skyrocketing prices.
REAL CLEAR POLITICS: Dems Brace for Inflation Attacks During August Recess
“Over the past month, Axne had plenty of company as several of her vulnerable Democratic brethren awkwardly fielded questions about this year’s rising costs of goods and services while defending plans to pass trillions of dollars more in infrastructure and anti-poverty funding. All the spending, along with a $1.9 trillion pandemic relief stimulus bill passed earlier this year, is pushing up demand and prices and will only exacerbate an already overheated economy, many economists have warned.”

Stefanik and NY GOP Women Lead Calls for Cuomo to be Impeached and Arrested
On Tuesday, the Attorney General of New York announced the findings of an independent investigation that confirmed what we already know: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is a criminal sex predator who violated federal and state law.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, the first federal official to publicly call for an independent investigation into Governor Cuomo’s sexual harassment, abuse, and assault, immediately demanded Cuomo be impeached and arrested.

Back In The District
This week was the first week of August recess, and members were on the ground in their communities meeting with constituents and delivering results. Check out these GOP women hard at work in their districts!
GOP Woman of the Week: Ann Wagner (MO-02) This week, Congresswoman Ann Wagner announced that she is running for re-election in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional district.
Since being elected to Congress in 2012, Ann has worked diligently to defend our conservative values and deliver results. Ann is a true leader in combatting sex trafficking and online exploitation of women and children. She authored the SAVE Act, which amended the federal criminal code to allow prosecutions of individuals who knowingly advertise sex slavery, along with FOSTA, which is the most significant anti-trafficking law Congress has passed in nearly 20 years. Most recently, on July 22, 2021, President Biden signed into law Ann’s bill, The Victims of Crime Act, that ensures crime victims get the services they need. Listen to Ann discuss this important legislation here.
Ann is a proven conservative leader who will be key to our efforts to take back the House. But MO-02 is a tough district that has trended away from Republicans, and E-PAC needs YOUR help to show Ann we have her back!
