After the eviction moratorium expired, President Biden and the CDC announced a new, targeted moratorium to protect Americans from this eviction emergency. But last weekend’s lapse in the moratorium left so many confused and afraid — and this policy may be threatened by the Supreme Court.
Washington state is leading the nation in the fight for progressive change — and are working to ensure Washingtonians have access to safe housing during this pandemic.
While the federal eviction moratorium continues its back-and-forth, WA state leaders already announced a “bridge” program, which includes further rental assistance to help folks as we transition out of the moratorium without eviction.
Will you add your name today to our petition to support our work to keep Washington families in their homes?
Throughout the legislative session, our senators have fought to pass bills that support our families and small businesses alike through this tough period: boosting housing and homelessness assistance, food assistance, providing grants to small businesses and more.
The fact is we were already facing a housing crisis in our state, pre-pandemic. That’s why Senator Das pushed forward her bill to incentivize affordable housing developments statewide. Now, we must keep raising our voices, so we can avert the pandemic housing disaster. Here at WSDC, we’re committed to ensuring access to safe and affordable housing for all.
We need 5,000 people to add their names today to support the work we’re doing to support Washingtonians throughout this tough period→
