Last week, we released For Love of Country: A Path for the Federal Government to Advance Racial Equity, which provides resources, tools, and a plan for federal agency leaders to implement President Biden’s historic executive order on advancing racial equity.

As we continue to deal with a global pandemic, reckon with racial inequity, and make historic investments in our nation, the need for federal leadership to support the lives and livelihoods of all Americans has never been more apparent. 

PolicyLink, in partnership with Race Forward, is excited to announce that we are taking our racial equity blueprint for the federal government and launching a partnership to support three to five agencies and/or major programs within agencies. Taking place over the course of 10-12 weeks, PolicyLink and Race Forward will work closely with select agencies to build off their equity efforts to date to finalize the creation of Equity Action Plans (per the Executive Order). In addition to those selected for deep partnership, we will create opportunities for other agencies and departments to join learning communities and share and understand best practices regarding this work. 

We aim to select participants by August 20, 2021, and will announce publicly soon after. We look forward to sharing with you all the lessons we learn throughout the partnership.
