This has led to disproportionate exposure to pollution, lower average life expectancies, and higher rates of illness in low-income and BIPOC communities.

Cars are one of the largest polluters, and zero-emission vehicles are not widely available in underserved communities. That's why Jason just introduced the Community Vehicle Charging Act to create grants for electric vehicle charging stations in underserved communities. This investment in transit infrastructure is necessary to chart a greener future for all.
