Enough Is Enough Appoints Detroit Media and Communications Veteran to its Board of Directors Mark Gilman, a 20+ year media veteran and owner and president of strategic communications agency, Pitchnoise, LLC in Detroit, has been named to the Enough Is Enough® (EIE) Board of Directors. The announcement was made by Enough Is Enough President, Donna Rice Hughes. Enough Is Enough is a Washington, D.C. based non-partisan organization dedicated to making the Internet safer for children and families. Gilman, who has served on the EIE Advisory Board since 1996, met with Rice Hughes last week at her Notre Dame University speaking engagement, “The Business Case for Filtering WiFi,” and both agreed that his skill-set and passion for EIE would be better served as member of the Board of Directors. “I’ve known Mark since he was a talk show host in D.C. back in the early 90’s and he’s always been a champion for our work at EIE,” said Rice Hughes. “And now with his additional proven business experience in owning and running a successful communications agency, he brings some added strategic insight into helping us advance our mission.” Gilman, for over a decade hosted “On the Mark,” a daily news and information talk show on Salem Radio stations in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Boston and Houston before finishing his radio career in Detroit. While in D.C. “On the Mark” was named National Talk Show of the Year by the National Religious Broadcasters. He also has worked as television news correspondent based at Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon. He moved on from his media career in 2003 and managed communications for nine global industry groups while at EDS, and served as chief marketing officer for a Detroit area law firm before launching Pitchnoise in 2006. He also served for six years in the U.S. Navy as a journalist and communications specialist. “I have always had a passion for what Enough Is Enough is doing to protect children and serve the public though it’s advocacy and leadership. I’m excited to be a part of the EIE Board of Directors in helping Donna and the organization continue its success and further its vision to protect children in the ever-evolving digital world,” said Gilman. Enough Is Enough® is a national bi-partisan non-profit organization who has led the fight to make the Internet safer for children and families since 1994. EIE's efforts are focused on combating Internet pornography, child pornography, sexual predation, sex trafficking and cyberbullying by incorporating a three-pronged prevention strategy with shared responsibilities between the public, Corporate America, and the legal community.
