President Biden can and must cancel student loan debt for millions of borrowers.
The current student loan moratorium that was put in place during the pandemic ends on September 30. At that point, millions of people across the country would be forced to restart making payments that they simply can’t afford.
Together, we successfully pushed President Biden and his administration to renew the lapsed eviction moratorium – keeping millions of people in their homes. Now, we need to urgently mobilize once again to prevent the student loan freeze from expiring too. Failing to do so means millions of borrowers will be forced to decide between putting food on the table and making a loan payment.
But I believe that we must do even more. President Biden has the power to cancel student loan debt — and he must do so NOW. If you agree, chip in $3 to fuel our work to cancel student debt and secure economic justice for every person in America.

This country was already experiencing historic economic inequality long before the COVID-19 crisis. One in four student debt borrowers were behind on payments even before the pandemic started.
Democrats now control the House, the Senate, and the White House. In order for us to lift people up during this crisis — and into the future — we need to use that power to deliver on a transformative economic agenda. One key component of that agenda is forgiving student debt.
Canceling student debt is an issue of economic justice. Women hold two-thirds of student debt, and Black borrowers owe $25,000 more on average than white borrowers. That’s one important reason why I’m advocating for student debt cancellation AND my College for All Act with Bernie Sanders.
I need your help to make student debt cancellation and economic justice a reality. Make your voice heard on this urgent issue by contributing to our campaign today and fuel our work to lift people up across this country.
In solidarity,
Pramila
