Yesterday we made it official. I’m running again to represent Texas’ 28th District in Congress. The response so far is overwhelming — seeing everyone raise their hands to volunteer and donate has me filled with gratitude for this movement.

The truth is that our opponent will very likely have a lot of powerful backers behind him. Last cycle, he had significant support from the Koch donor network, Big Oil companies, the largest private prison network GEO Group, the Club for Growth (a Trump-aligned PAC), and big corporate PACs.
You and I both know the only way someone like me can win a race like this is if we completely outnumber all those rich and powerful people with tens of thousands of grassroots supporters fighting for a progressive agenda.
Last year, in spite of all the obstacles, we came just a couple thousand votes short of a huge upset. This time around, we’re going to win. But only if I can earn your support and the support of tens of thousands of grassroots activists like you.
