Fifty-six years ago today, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law — expanding ballot access to millions in our underrepresented communities.
The Voting Rights Act dramatically increased voter turnout and voter registration in cities and towns across America, particularly among Black Americans.
But today, voting rights in America are under attack. In states like Georgia and Arizona, right-wing legislatures have passed harsh and restrictive bills that limit the right to vote, the most fundamental right in our democracy.
After last year’s decisive victory for President Biden and Democrats, we’ve seen hundreds of Republican bills popping up all over the country in an effort to limit ballot access and steal back our elections.
Enough is enough.
On the anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act , we must recommit ourselves to expanding the right to vote.
We must pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. If you agree, please add a donation to help me keep fighting in Washington to protect our right to vote:

With a Democratic Senate, we have an incredible opportunity to expand ballot access, make it easier to vote, and clean up our government.
Thanks,
