Last month, we heard gut-wrenching testimony from Capitol police officers at the first hearing of the House select committee charged with investigating the January 6th insurrection.

Learning the truth about the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol isn’t about politics, it’s about protecting our democracy.

But House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and the GOP in the House voted against the commission. They want to bury the truth. We can’t let that happen.

If Kevin McCarthy were Speaker of the House, we all know he would never investigate this attack on our democracy. He and his GOP colleagues would spend months undermining our democracy, all to suck up to Donald Trump and his MAGA base.
