This is Daniel, Abby's husband. It's only been a couple weeks since Abby launched her campaign for Iowa's Senate seat, and it's been a whirlwind in every sense of the word. We've traveled all across Iowa, met with working folks from the Mississippi River to the Missouri River, and Rep. Cindy Axne and former Congressman Dave Loebsack just endorsed Abby's campaign. Exciting stuff!

I wanted to reach out to this team again because, just as Abby's not slowing down, we can't slow down either. Sen. Grassley and Mitch McConnell have a major cash advantage and are ready to spend tens of millions of dollars to keep this Senate seat red. That means that in order for Abby to win, our campaign needs unprecedented grassroots resources. That starts with raising another $10,000 before the day is done.

Thinking back on 2020, there were a lot of challenging days. Last August in Iowa, on top of the pandemic, a derecho with hurricane-force winds and rain hit our communities.

When so many were at their lowest, Sen. Grassley didn't show up for days, but Abby was there. She got out there and did whatever she could to make sure our neighbors – her constituents – had food, water, shelter. As she often says, it’s moments like these, crises we go through together, that truly change you.

I know I may be biased, friend, but Abby is exactly the sort of leader who Iowans deserve in the Senate. She's somebody who takes the job of public service seriously and works her heart out for the people. On the other hand, Sen. Grassley, a seven-term incumbent, has ignored and voted against the interests of working Iowans year after year after year.

We have a real chance to defeat Sen. Grassley and flip Iowa blue, but only if Abby has the resources it takes to run a winning campaign.
