We need the Senate to act today.
Everytown for Gun Safety

John–

Senate inaction has a body count: 23,200. 100 people die each day the Senate doesn't act.

The Senate has absolutely no excuse for not voting on gun safety legislation. The House acted, and passed legislation requiring background checks on all gun sales 232 days ago.

We need our Senators to do the same. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has suggested that voting on these policies requires a permission slip from President Trump. When 100 people are dying from gun violence each day because the Senate has yet to act, this excuse is nothing short of ludicrous. It's an insult to the hundreds of people being shot and killed each week and the survivors who will live the rest of their lives impacted by those tragedies.

Senator McConnell and his allies in the Senate have failed to take action to end this crisis. As long as they continue to fail to act, the body count will continue to grow.

We need action today. Our lawmakers need to take our country's gun violence crisis seriously. By contacting your Senators today, you'll be making sure that this issue stays on their radar and that they know exactly what's at stake.
