John, do you know how to properly display the American Flag?

Our Stars and Stripes symbolize so much more than just a flag. They remind us of the sacrifices made for our freedoms … of the many brave men and women who never returned home … and of all that we have to be grateful for as Americans.

American Flag Etiquette
Fly your flag from sunrise to sunset. If you fly it after dark, make sure it's properly illuminated. The union of the flag should be placed at the peak of the staff. When against a wall, the union should be at the top left corner. When on a vehicle, the flag should be fixed on the right front fender.
Bring your flag inside during inclement weather, (unless it is an all-weather flag). The flag shouldn't touch anything below it, so be sure it's at the proper height. When you store your flag, fold it into a triangle with the union visible and keep it in a well-ventilated space.
Facts provided by usa.gov/flag

This summer, we’re honoring our nation’s veterans — and raising critical funds to support our heroes — by flying American flags in DAV’s Field of Flags. Each flag represents one of America’s brave heroes.

But we need over 1,600 more flags to reach our goal of 5,000 flags flying in the field. Can you honor a veteran by adding a flag to the Field of Flags today?
