Look Up! Nottingham Adventure Trail

Stay active this summer and explore Nottingham city centre on foot with the Look Up! Adventure Trail, a free family activity for the summer holidays.

Aimed at primary school aged children (but open to all), the trail – accessed by a free app – will lead you around the city centre to answer questions, complete challenges and discover clues hidden in plain sight.

Paper copies can be picked up from the Tourism Centre in Smithy Row.

Get cycling this summer

Local charities RideWise and Sustrans are on hand offering everything from cycle training and free bike servicing, to free bike loans for Nottingham residents.

All operators in the city continue to clean vehicles thoroughly on a regular basis, and windows on buses will be kept open for ventilation.

Rail services

As a result of further strike action there will be changes to EMR services from Sunday 8 August until further notice. Reduced timetables will operate on the following days:

*Intercity and Connect routes affected - *22 and 29 August, 2, 12, 19 and 26 September

Western Power Distribution project

A major project to replace the 132kv cable on various roads in the city. This includes rolling road closures along the route to excavate, and install ducts and cables.

Ongoing roadworks

**Saturday 20 February - Summer 2021: Nuthall Road/Western Boulevard junction*
*Temporary traffic signals are in place while work is carried out to install new permanent signals. Temporary pedestrian crossings are provided. A revised end date will be confirmed when available.

This is part of a scheme [ [link removed] ] to improve traffic flow and bus journey times at this busy junction.

Severn Trent Water replacement scheme

Severn Trent will be undertaking a scheme to replace water mains on various roads in the Forest Fields area from July 2021. This will include rolling road closures and parking suspensions in 100m sections to excavate and install new water mains in the highway.

Highways England Clifton Bridge repairs

Highways England is continuing to carry out works to repair and strengthen the A52 Clifton Bridge. Works are expected to finish autumn 2021.
