The second performance in the free season of bandstand concerts in city parks is from *Maltby Miners Welfare*.Â
Still going strong after 110 years, this very active concert and contest band, performs across South Yorkshire, the wider region, and even a tour of Belgium in 2019.
Audiences are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or cushions or simply sit on the amphitheatre steps. Unfortunately, we can no longer provide seating for these concerts.

Everyone laughs when Don Pedro plays a trick on Benedick and Beatrice, letting each think that they are secretly loved by the other. It's no laughing matter when Don John plays a trick on Claudio and Hero, deceiving Claudio into thinking that Hero is not faithful to him.
Does any of this make sense? If not, worry not... it's just an interpretation of Shakespeare's classic.Â

Explore the city centre on foot with Nottingham City Council’s Look Up! Adventure Trail, a free family activity for the summer holidays.
Aimed at primary school aged children (but open to all), the trail – accessed by a free app, will lead you around the city centre to answer questions, complete challenges, and discover clues hidden in plain sight.
So even if you’ve ventured down a street many times before, there are always new secrets to uncover!

Two acrobats will dig and climb, find and lose balance using joyful acrobatics and objects accompanied by acoustic and pre-recorded music, to create an engaging interactive performance.
Groups will sit in their own pod. Bring along blankets and pillows to make the area your own.
Each pod is ÂŁ10 and seats up to a maximum of 6 so bring along your friends and family. Suitable for children aged 5+.

This outdoor audio artwork encourages audiences to travel through time in Highfields Park and imagine how the park and its users have changed over 100 years.
Explore the park’s history, reflecting on its present and looks forward to its future. This original audio experience invites audiences to walk around the lake and sit at four dedicated benches where they can listen to each track for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and take in the view. There are two tracks to listen to as listeners walk to and from the benches, with a soundscape featuring the sounds of Highfields Park.
A smartphone, a pair of headphones, and comfortable shoes is all that’s required.
No booking is needed.
