Watching the insurrection commission hearings last week brought back the feelings of fear and stress I felt as a member of Congress in the Capitol on that day in which multiple people died and over 140 law enforcement officers were injured in an attempt to overthrow a democratic election.

Jan. 6th was a dark day in our collective history and this insurrection commission is doing the necessary work to find the facts and causes of this violent event, so that it never happens again.
