Voting is a right, but Ohio Republicans don't seem to agree.

Prior to the 2020 election, Ohio already had extreme voter laws that disenfranchised many voters -- especially low-income people and people of color. Then, earlier this year, they decided to take it one step further.

Ohio Republicans presented a voter-suppression bill that proposed limiting dropboxes and slashing the number of days Ohioans can vote early. The right to vote is a cornerstone of our democracy and the continued attacks from Ohio Republicans are a direct attack on our democracy.

This week marks the 56th anniversary of when the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was signed into law. This landmark legislation that late Congressman John Lewis fought for helped eliminate racial discrimination at the polls and was the first step in making it easier for all Americans to vote.

We're focused on protecting the right to vote in 2022 and beyond, but that means we all must work together to fight against any future anti-voter attacks that Ohio Republicans launch.

If you're committed to protecting John Lewis' legacy, add your name to our petition to demand Ohio Republicans stop trying to make it harder for Americans to make their voices heard.
