Did you know that only 9 of the 435 members of the House of Representatives, or just 2%, identify as LGBTQ+? We need more diverse representation in Congress.

Since coming out as gay, I’ve been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community; as a lawyer, I’ve done pro bono work representing trans individuals change their names and access medically necessary health care.

Unfortunately, some representatives are actively fighting against LGBTQ+ equality. One of those members is my opponent: Elise Stefanik.

Elise opposes the Equality Act, which would ban discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. She also voted against legislation — authored by an out gay Afro-Latino member of Congress — to protect LGBTQ+ business owners.

During a time when Republicans are passing discriminatory anti-trans legislation across the country, it is more important than ever that we elect members of Congress who will fight for the dignity and equality of the LBGTQ+ community. Part of that mission means replacing the members who are a threat to this progress, like Stefanik.

So please, consider supporting my campaign to defeat Elise Stefanik today. Together, we can ensure there are more representatives in Congress who will work toward full LGBTQ+ equality.
