VOTO LATINO GRIEVES LEADER AND ACTIVIST AFL-CIO PRESIDENT RICHARD TRUMKA

Following the news of the loss of legendary labor leader and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, Voto Latino would like to issue the following statement:

"The entire Voto Latino family is deeply saddened by the loss of AFL-CIO's President Richard Trumka. During our round-the-clock work in helping promote the Affordable Care Act, Rich was a frank, generous collaborator who championed workers’ rights through an inclusive lens — no matter your trade or your name, he wanted the system to work for you. He spent his lifetime defending all of America's working families, and Rich's powerful legacy will live on in those families for generations."
