It has been 1000 days since President Trump was sworn into office.

On that day we made a promise to you. We promised that we would fight back and hold the line against any attempt by the Trump administration to ignore environmental laws and harm our communities, our climate, and the natural world we value so deeply.

And while the last 1000 days have seemed like a never-ending deluge of heartbreaking headlines, an important and inspiring story is playing out largely behind the scenes. It’s the story of a team of environmental lawyers fighting back, and winning, against this administration. In the last 1000 days, Earthjustice attorneys around the country have delivered on our promise by taking the administration to court over 130 times. Here are some of the ways we are winning:

• When the administration approved a 43-mile water pipeline through Mojave Trails National Monument, we took them to court. And we won.
• After President Trump issued an executive order to open up public lands for coal leasing, we immediately filed a lawsuit. And we won.
• When President Trump issued an executive order removing permanent protections against oil and gas drilling from America’s Arctic Ocean and key parts of the Atlantic, we challenged this reckless decision in court. And we won.
• When the administration tried to strip Endangered Species Act protections from Yellowstone grizzly bears, we fought back in court. And we won.

In the last two and a half years we received decisions on 33 of our 130 lawsuits against this administration. We won 28 of them.
