Less Recess Doesn’t Mean We Can’t Have Fun!

We hope all of our members are forging ahead toward the mythical August Recess. Although we are still planning our next official GLASS social event, we wanted to be sure to invite you to buy tickets for the Washington Nationals’ annual Night OUT on Tuesday, August 17.

Washington’s Major League Baseball team is celebrating the LGBTQ community at Nationals Park for their sixteenth annual Night OUT presented by Team DC. $5 of every ticket sold will be donated to Team DC.

GLASS Member Spotlight:

Claire Schwark (Sen. Brian Schatz)

Claire is a member of GLASS and a Press & Digital Assistant in the Office of Senator Brian Schatz. Claire previously worked in digital fundraising for Democratic candidates and progressive causes at Anne Lewis Strategies. Born and raised in St. Louis, she studied journalism at the University of Missouri and is a dedicated St. Louis sports fan. Outside of the office, Claire is an avid runner and can often be found cooking a new recipe (results usually vary).
