I want to let you in on a little tradition I started with my husband, Daniel: At the end of every day, we say “three gratefuls” – three things we feel a deep sense of appreciation for. 

Over the last two weeks, after launching this Senate campaign, there’s a lot to be grateful for – a lot. But I think I can narrow it down to a few things: 

First: You, friend, and this entire grassroots team. Seeing the support pour in – through well-wishes, volunteer sign-ups, encouragement on social media and contributions – has been so humbling. Thank you.

Second: My family. From a young age, my parents taught me about seeing work to be done and doing it. They remain my biggest inspiration and my biggest fans. (They used to DVR C-SPAN so they didn’t miss any of my floor speeches in the House!)

Third: My campaign team. It’s no easy feat to get a run for U.S. Senate off the ground, and I’m so thankful for their support. So I want to share an update from my finance team: We still need to raise another $25,000 by midnight to stay on track for our grassroots fundraising goals.

Will you please give $5 or more to help us win in Iowa and defeat Sen. Grassley? This is a people-powered campaign, and hitting goals like this will ensure we have the resources to flip Iowa blue.
