When I announced this campaign against McCarthy, I made a promise that I would always be fully transparent with voters and supporters. So here's the truth:

Our fundraising started too slowly this month. We're not panicking, but it is troubling because we depend on grassroots donations while McCarthy takes his big corporate PAC checks.

There are tens of thousands of voters in our community repulsed by McCarthy. How could they not be? He's spent this entire year groveling to Trump, disrespecting the Capitol Police, enabling the worst elements of his party, and even joked this week about hitting women. Enough is enough.

He's been horrible, but our challenge is that many don't yet know I am a viable Democrat running against him. Our job is to spread the word about this campaign -- and to do it early. The best way we can do that is by making sure we have resources to run a strong voter contact operation. That's where you come in:
