Alessandra went on MSNBC yesterday to explain the process of impeachment in New York State, in light of the news that the State Assembly is conducting an impeachment investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Alessandra is right: Andrew Cuomo is unfit to serve, and he should resign. But in the likely event that he refuses to, the State Assembly must act quickly to remove him from office, allowing the Lieutenant Governor to take over.
Right now, our state is navigating the rise of the Delta variant and the future of the eviction moratorium. We can’t afford to have a governor who is so mired in corruption and more concerned with protecting himself than protecting us. He simply cannot properly serve the people of New York during this critical time.
