The COVID pandemic has cost America trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives. It didn’t have to be this bad―but our lack of investment in pandemic preparedness let COVID spread out of control.

President Joe Biden called for a $30 billion investment in pandemic preparedness in his American Jobs Plan. But that number could be slashed to just $5 billion in the Senate.
