Hi John,

This spring the Vatican launched the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, a plan that invites the global Church on a 7-year journey toward total sustainability. This May also marked the beginning of the Ignatian Year, which commemorates the 500th anniversary of St. Ignatius being hit with a cannonball that caused a profound conversion experience.

Renewing the Earth: Living Laudato Si' in the Year of Ignatius is a campaign that invites you to consider St. Ignatius’ conversion, or “cannonball moment,” as a model for your own ecological conversion in this historic environmental moment that requires a renewal of our spirits and of the earth.

You're invited to join a journey of discernment with other parishes, schools, and individuals to bring the Laudato Si' Action Platform to life in your community with Ignatian spirituality as a guide.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

  • Individuals
  • Creation Care Teams (and their parishes!)
  • Teachers (and their classrooms!)
  • School Clubs
  • Religious Congregations
  • Families
  • Young Adults
  • Catholic Organizations
  • YOU!
