This morning, Jessica Cisneros announced that she is running for Congress to represent Texas’ 28th District.
We’re reaching out because we’re hoping you’ll become one of the first Founding Donors of this campaign. Every dollar we raise will help us build a winning campaign, so anything you can spare will help!
Jessica is taking on Henry Cuellar, one of the most conservative Democrats in all of Congress.
Last year, despite being heavily outspent by Cuellar, Jessica lost by just 2,746 votes.
So we know we can win this. But, last time, Cuellar got help from the Koch network, private prisons, and big corporate PACs. And right now he has nearly $2 million dollars in the bank.
For us to make up those 2,746 votes this time we’re going to need all hands on deck. We need to build a people-powered movement that will carry Jessica’s message across South Texas.
And how much we raise in the first few days of this campaign will determine how much of that infrastructure we can build early on. The sooner we can get started, the better-positioned we’ll be to win come Election Day.
