John,
Yesterday, President Biden listened to our demands, and extended the eviction moratorium for the vast majority of the country.
But before I go any further, I want to thank my colleague and sister, Representative Cori Bush, whose leadership, vision, and love in the fight to extend the eviction moratorium made this happen.
When we organize behind Black women, we can transform the lives of millions. Cori’s actions over the past five days have saved countless lives. I love you, Cori, and I’m grateful to be in the fight with you.
John, will you join me today in telling Cori Bush “thank you”? If you have a moment, click here to sign a card and send her a short message of appreciation.

John, I am grateful to have you with me, too, as we continue to fight for a governance of love and abundance, where everyone has food, shelter, and dignity. For too long, policy has been made for and by people with power. But let today be a reminder that organized people have ultimate power.
There’s no doubt that President Biden’s announcement is a step in the right direction. But we must keep pushing for more. Extending the eviction moratorium is just the beginning. We have lots of work to do: canceling student loans, a $15 minimum wage, passing a Green New Deal, abolishing the filibuster, just to name a few.
There’s lots more to work for, but today, let’s all take a moment to breathe and celebrate. Get your rest, we’ll be back on it soon!
Peace and love,
