Over the last few months, we've watched state after state across the country - Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Ohio (the list could continue) - pass extreme and rigid anti-choice laws. From laws that ban abortion before many women even know they're pregnant to laws making abortion illegal, even in the case of rape or incest. I am appalled by this. I am outraged. And I am disgusted. But I also know I'm not alone.

Since Mitch McConnell became the Senate Majority Leader - and worse, SINCE Donald Trump became the President - the attacks on women's health care have grown bolder and more extreme. From the Trump administration restricting access to abortion and birth control to attempts to defund Planned Parenthood. And now with their right-wing court-packing agenda, benches across the country are filling up with far-right judges who will push their anti-choice agenda forward even more.

We can't let ultraconservatives overturn Roe v. Wade! But right now, it's in real danger. That's why I need this grassroots team to step up and join me by signing this petition demanding that Congress protect reproductive freedoms!

Let me be clear: No person - or politician - has the right to stand between a woman and the health care decisions she makes with her doctor. Roe v. Wade protected women's right to make their own health care decisions - but GOP lawmakers across the country are doing everything they can to erode reproductive freedoms. But in Nevada, our women's majority in the state legislature is bucking this extremist trend by lifting abortion restrictions and truly showing our state's commitment and respect for women's reproductive freedoms. And I couldn't be prouder of them for doing so.

But right now, Roe v. Wade could be in serious danger of being overturned - and we cannot let that happen! Join me in sending a clear message to Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and extremist anti-choice GOP lawmakers across the country that we will fight tooth-and-nail to protect a woman's right to choose!

I'm sick and tired of having to defend against these outrageous attacks and policies on women's health care from GOP extremists, but we must. We cannot let them reverse what should be a basic right for women.
