Dear Friend, As I walk through my neighbourhood, I see people in need, and people determined to help. No matter where you live, I’m sure you’re seeing this too. I see the need for food security in the food bank lineups that wrap around the block. The need for affordable and supportive housing as I pass people living in tents in the park. The need for urgent reform to our long-term care homes, the need for ambitious climate action, for a guaranteed livable income . . . the list goes on. This isn’t an easy time. Yet faced with the needs in their communities, people have stepped up and are supporting their neighbours. This is inspiring, and it gives me such hope for the future. As the Leader of the Green Party of Canada and as a member of my community, I am convinced that Canada must seize the opportunity in front of us right now to launch a Green and Just Recovery. I’ll need your help to make it happen. Our grassroots are the backbone of our party and your support is what will get Greens elected to Parliament in the fast approaching election.
