Folks,
It’s infrastructure week in Washington — finally.
As we work to get both the bipartisan infrastructure deal and our budget reconciliation package over the finish line, I’m laser-focused on making sure we fully invest in our physical infrastructure, clean energy, and affordable housing — among many other top priorities.
Can you take a moment or two to let me know your thoughts by filling out my August Priorities Survey? Your feedback is important to me.
Since these negotiations began, I’ve worked to include a Clean Electricity Standard nationwide to curb our carbon emissions and put us on the fast track to revamping our energy system and stopping the climate crisis — but that’s not all.
We need to invest in every community, from our big cities to rural areas, and ensure that no matter where you live, you have access to affordable housing, clean energy, public transportation, and reliable broadband.
This is also a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in families, workers, and children — by extending the expanded Child Tax Credit, enacting paid family and medical leave, making community college free, and guaranteeing universal childcare.
Let me know your top priorities by filling out my short survey — I promise it will only take a minute (or two, tops!).
Reading your responses gives me a fresh perspective that we need a lot more of in the Senate. Thank you, as always, for raising your voice.
