John,

Last night, I was thrilled to join the Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) in Bozeman to celebrate our recent wins in the ongoing fight to protect workers’ rights here in Montana.

During the 2021 legislative session, advocates from across Montana came together to protect workers. As a member of leadership last session, I was proud to work with legislators across the aisle to defeat dangerous ‘right-to-work’ legislation.

While we celebrate these statewide victories, it’s important to keep up the fight, and right now, we have a chance to strengthen workers’ rights at the national level in a huge way.

The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act was passed in the U.S. House this year and would strengthen workers’ ability to unionize and bargain, override all state ‘right-to-work’ laws like the one we defeated here in Montana, and hold corporations accountable for union-busting.

This would be one of the most transformative, game-changing pieces of labor legislation in recent history, but we need the U.S. Senate to pass it if we’re going to make it law.

Join me in standing with working Montanans and workers across the country today by adding your name in support of the PRO Act.

Thank you for fighting for workers with me. I hope to continue defending and strengthening labor rights in Congress as your future representative.
