Before the pandemic, we already knew that DeSantis' gun violence prevention policies were putting Floridians at risk. Now, we're seeing just how little DeSantis actually cares about our safety.

DeSantis isn't just owned by the NRA, he's also pandering to political donors who believe in pandemic conspiracy theories. In the past year and a half, DeSantis has completely ignored public health best practices, banned local governments from enacting COVID-19 restrictions – and even signed deals that make it harder for the most vulnerable Floridians to access lifesaving vaccines.

It's clear: DeSantis' failure to protect the people of Florida is costing all of us. We just got word that Florida is responsible for 1 in 5 of ALL NEW COVID-19 cases in the U.S. The worst part is Floridians will continue to lose loved ones to the virus because DeSantis STILL refuses to do ANYTHING to stop the spread of COVID-19 – just like he won't lift a finger to end the gun violence epidemic.
