Huge news just dropped: the Republican recall campaign against San
Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin has raised over $650,000.

The vast majority of donations to the dangerous recall effort — over
$400,000 — have come from a PAC called Neighbors for a Better San
Francisco.

Its two biggest contributors? Investment banker Steven Merrill of Marco
Ventures and William Oberndorf, a hedge fund investor who has donated over
a million dollars to GOP campaigns across the country like Marco Rubio,
John Boehner and the Republican National Committee.

These right-wing billionaires, along with police groups attempting to buy
unchecked power, are doubling down to stop Chesa’s changemaking justice
work and turn back the results of a free and fair election. Since his
election in 2019, Chesa has kept his campaign promises introducing
policies to hold police accountable, end mass incarceration and transform
our justice system from the inside out.

We have one week left to stop the first of two anti-justice recall efforts
that could turn back years of progress and reinforce a justice system that
is racist, oppressive, and preys on the poor and marginalized.

We can beat them both, but not without everyone who reads this email
