Hi there,

Last week the Senate took the first steps toward passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, historic and bipartisan legislation unlike anything we've seen in generations.

But as we know, any of the decisions related to our infrastructure will also have important and lasting impacts on our planet and the urgent need to tackle climate change in this decade.

We are pleased to invite you to join us next Tuesday, August 10th at 7 pm ET, for a conversation looking at this bill through the lens of climate change, a century-defining challenge. The discussion will be moderated by Sonal Shah and we will be joined by Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, Mayor Quentin Hart, and leaders from the League of Conservation Voters and the Natural Resources Defense Council.

The Biden-Harris Administration's bold, decisive action is long overdue and will have major ramifications toward moving us toward a clean energy future all while creating new, high-paying jobs. Just as important is that we will do it the American way – by building and innovating. We must also ensure the transition is inclusive and equitable for all, centering those who have been left out in the past.

WHO: Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, Mayor Quentin Hart, Gene Karpinski (LCV), and Kathleen Welch (NRDC & Corridor Partners)

WHAT: Conversation about climate change and infrastructure

WHEN: Tuesday, August 10th at 7 pm ET

Thanks and we hope to see you there,
