It’s official: Democrat Allison Russo has a Republican opponent in the special election for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District.
And it’s not good. Republicans nominated coal lobbyist Mike Carey, who was endorsed by Donald Trump and got a HUGE boost from a super PAC run by former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
My Off the Sidelines PAC endorsed Allison early because she’s a phenomenal candidate—and because this special election is our ONLY chance to flip a GOP-held seat blue this year.
And now, we know what Allison’s up against. So I’m setting a big goal: Raise $10,000 for Allison by midnight tonight to flip this seat and save our House majority. Right now, Democrats have a single-digit majority in the House of Representatives. And since World War II, the president’s party has lost an average of 23 House seats in the midterm elections.
And Democrats will lose the House—and put far-right extremists like Kevin McCarthy and Marjorie Taylor Greene in power—if we don’t fight to expand our majority and compete in red and purple districts like Allison’s.
