The For the People Act would safeguard voting rights, end partisan gerrymandering, stop billionaires from buying elections, and more.

STEP 1:
Dial the U.S. Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. (Be patient, they’re getting lots of calls.)

STEP 2:
When you get through to the switchboard, follow the prompts to be connected to the office of one of your senators. (Don’t worry, you won’t have to talk to your senator, you’ll just leave a message with a staffer or on voicemail.)

STEP 3:
Leave this simple message: “I am calling to urge my senator to stay in D.C. and do whatever it takes to pass the For the People Act. The Senate recess can wait — our democracy can’t.”

Repeat steps 1 through 3 for your other senator.

That’s it!

Call even if you think one or both of your senators won’t support the For the People Act — so that senators know they are ignoring their constituents if they vote against our democracy.
