We're less than three months away from election day in Virginia, and less than 45 days away from early voting! Help us get Democrats elected in Virginia this November by phonebanking with us TONIGHT, August 4th at 6:30pm. We'll be making calls for Joshua Cole, who is running for re-election to VA's 28th district. He was the youngest person and the first African-American to receive the nomination for the district, and we as a chapter are proud to be helping him on his way to victory again!
Even if you come each week and dial just ten numbers on our list - which takes just about ten minutes - by election day you will have made 120 dials. And if we can get ten people to do that, it's 1,200 dials. For some perspective, Joshua Cole won his seat in 2019 by just 1,040 votes.
Every person we can reach makes a huge difference.
And as of July, Sister District phonebankers have made 40% of our campaigns' total dials 🤯.
Phonebanking is our best remote volunteering option for voter contact. We identify supporters, make sure they know about early voting, find and speak with undecided voters, tidy campaign data for voter targeting, and recruit local volunteers.
Each virtual phonebank over Zoom includes training for new phonebankers at the top (returning callers can jump right in), and check-ins mid-way through and at the end. We'll share successes and address questions throughout. Veteran phonebank leaders help you get comfortable, increase your effectiveness, and make sure you have a great experience.
