Friends, my opponent, Republican Eddie Rispone, just launched his first attack ads against me.

He's a millionaire willing to spend whatever it takes to get himself elected - in fact, he's already spent more than $11 million on his own campaign. Plus, now that we're in a runoff, he has Republican interest groups from all over pouring money into this race as well.

We have to fight back against this latest attack. We have our own response ad on the air, but we're short of what we need to keep it up, which is why we set a goal of getting 100 Election Year Members to donate before midnight. But, with just hours to go, we're still 24 donations short. If we miss our goal, we risk falling behind Rispone and the deep pockets of the Republican party - and losing on Election Day.
