[1]Cori Bush

John,

Today our movement moved mountains.

Thanks to the activism of Cori, many of our progressive allies in
Congress, and YOU,
John, President Biden heard our
call to extend the eviction moratorium.

On Friday, Cori walked out to the Capitol steps and refused to accept that
Congress would leave for vacation while 11 million people faced eviction.
Since then, she's spent nights at the Capitol getting only hours of sleep
and rallied through the rain to demand that Congress and the White House
take action to save lives.

This afternoon, it was reported that the White House will be announcing a
new temporary eviction moratorium for areas of the country with high or
substantial transmission of COVID-19.

This massive victory is in direct response to Cori's bold advocacy since
Friday night. We are so grateful for our people-powered movement, but our
work isn't over yet. Cori won't stop pushing until everyone is protected
from eviction during this public health crisis, so we're counting on you
to continue to have Cori's back.

John, Cori
came to Congress to save lives — and that's exactly what she did these
last five days. [ [link removed] ]Please, will you chip in $5 or more to
power our movement so Cori can keep legislating and organizing for the
transformative change St. Louis and communities like it need?

[ [link removed] ]Chip in $5

This wouldn't have happened without Cori's leadership. But it also
wouldn't have happened without this grassroots team who chipped in
whatever they could to power Cori's work and everyone who showed up in
D.C. to bring attention to this crisis.

This week is a lesson that when our movement comes together, we can
achieve anything. Together, we can and must do more to save lives.

Together, we can advocate for a full eviction moratorium during this
public health crisis.

Together, we can push Congress to pass Cori's resolution, The Unhoused
Bill of Rights, to end the unhoused crisis by 2025.

Together, we can organize for the People’s Response Act, Medicare for All,
and the Green New Deal to transform our communities.

Our people-powered movement can deliver bold, progressive change, but Cori
can't do this work alone. [ [link removed] ]Please, contribute $5, or
anything meaningful to you, to keep Cori in Congress legislating to defend
and save lives.

In solidarity,

Team Cori
