Congress must act right away to provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

Friend,

The last few days have been critical in our urgent fight to finally get a pathway to citizenship signed into law — and an incredible reflection of the amazing advocacy and hard work that you’ve been a part of.

Late last week, President Biden met with a key group of lawmakers to discuss the pathway forward to secure legislation creating a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS Holders, farmworkers, and essential workers.

This came a few hours after a group of nearly 100 leaders of the largest companies and trade associations in the United States released a letter making clear that in the wake of the devastating decision on DACA from a Federal Judge in Texas, Congress must act right away to provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

The meeting with the president and these key lawmakers was an important step forward with the White House expressing “their strong support for including immigration reform in upcoming reconciliation legislation to enable Dreamers, TPS recipients, farmworkers, and essential workers to gain long-awaited pathways to citizenship.”

This reconciliation process will begin in the weeks ahead and requires 50 votes in the Senate; it is therefore absolutely crucial that every senator hear from us in the next two weeks. Every senator needs to know that we must keep a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and others in this bill.

Can you commit to calling your senators in the days ahead?

We all need to keep pushing to get this done. This is the year.
