Hi John,

Activism lies at the core of our work.

Below are our three most recent action alerts. They are quick and easy, and most importantly they call for bold, systemic changes to lessen our environmental exposures, push our government leaders to prioritize public health, and demand access to better treatments for breast cancer.
1Join us and tell your representatives to support the No PFAS in Cosmetics Act today!

New evidence has surfaced that reveals PFAS, a growing class of chemicals which may increase breast cancer risk, were present in over half the makeup tested, most of which were NOT listed on ingredient labels.

The No PFAS in Cosmetics Act is concise and definitive: it bans all intentionally added PFAS. Take action now: send an email to your legislators asking them to support the No PFAS in Cosmetics Act!
2 Our organization is known as a leader in calling for the phase-out of fossil fuels in California, and now we’re taking this issue all the way to the top!

Sign the petition and tell President Biden his administration MUST stop all new fossil fuel projects in order to take bold, new strides to address the breast cancer and the climate crises

Exposure to toxic chemicals that increase breast cancer risk can come from any phase of the fossil fuel continuum. We can be exposed to these harmful chemicals where we live, work, learn, and play. Preventing these exposures means no new oil wells, no new fracked gas fields, no new pipelines, and no new refineries. Add your name to BCAction’s petition now!
3 Lymphedema is a common, painful, and often debilitating side effect of breast cancer treatment. Despite the frequency and severity of this condition, Medicare and some private insurance companies don’t cover the costs of the doctor-prescribed compression supplies needed to treat this condition.

This is unjust and inhumane.

The Lymphedema Treatment Act, which seeks to remedy this injustice, frequently receives bipartisan support. Let’s get this bill over the finish line.
We are experts in advocating for bold, systemic changes and it’s our job to bring together our watchdog, people-centered perspective with the priorities of people living with and at risk of breast cancer to provide you with the most impactful ways to make a difference.

Take action with us today. YOU are our power. Thank you for doing your part in addressing breast cancer through a health justice lens.

In solidarity,
