The Kansas GOP is kick-starting our state’s redistricting process with unprecedented corruption. The schedule built for public hearings surrounding redistricting is clearly designed to limit constituent participation, furthering the Republican agenda of rampant voter suppression. As former Senate President Susan Wagle put it, the Kansas GOP plans to use unjust tools like gerrymandering to corrupt state legislative boundaries and give more power to Republican officials.

 

 

Republicans cheat to win because they know they will never adequately represent the needs of all Kansans, and Democratic outrage is forcing Republicans to reconsider this unfair process. The Kansas Democratic Party is working hard to keep Republicans who are hellbent on suppressing the voices of voters out of office in Kansas.
